About the Newsletter

The Master Gardener Volunteers of Douglas County provide horticulture information on gardens, landscapes, plants, and other related topics. This newsletter of July 2024 is one of the many resources of information available to the public to help accomplish this mission.

We want to take time to thank everyone who came out and supported our 1st ever Native Plant Sale.  The public's support means everything to us.  We hope to see you next year.

Summer is here and gardens are starting to show full bloom.  Keeping landscapes healthy and happy during the peak heat of the season will make irrigation the most important issue.

This newsletter focuses on the importance of water conservation, mulching and some facts or fiction insights.

Find our full newsletter in a PDF form in the link below or a hard copy at our office, 1325 Waterloo Ln., Gardnerville, NV
