A New Jersey native, Patrick is a Navy veteran and graduate from Fresno State University. He spent many years as a wilderness guide for programs in Montana and Tahoe and served as a public elementary school teacher for 14 years. In 2003 he married and together, Leslie and he started a family in Gardnerville, NV. His family enjoys hiking, camping, music & dance, gardening, and art. He is also a drummer, a juggler, a student of microscopy, and an accomplished worm farmer.

Anay is an environmental scientists who has always enjoyed spending her time supporting and volunteering with grass-roots community organizations. She previously worked as a lab analyst, performing air quality and asbestos material testing, and as a research assistant for the Public Lands Institute, where she catalogued rock and soil samples for the Antarctica Polar Rock Repository. She recently finished her herbalism certification and is exploring the world of medicine making. Anay is excited to bring her passion for science, math and engineering to 4-H youth and foster a sense of curiosity and exploration with STEAM programming, clubs, and activities.
