The Ruby Mountains are an important part of Elko County, providing beautiful nature and outdoor recreation, habitats for countless species, incredible snowpacks, and watersheds that support recreation and agriculture throughout the County; the physical and fiscal impacts of the Ruby Mountain range run wide. This document delves into the impacts that the Ruby Mountains, and outdoor recreation and agriculture in general, have on Elko County’s economy.
Nevada Economic Assessment Project (NEAP)
NEAP focuses on providing Nevada’s counties, state and federal agencies, and their partners with quantitative and qualitative baseline data and analyses to better understand the demographic, social, economic, fiscal and environmental characteristics, trends and impacts.
