Crystal Momii has been providing nutrition education in Las Vegas for the University of Nevada Reno Extension since 2001. Currently, Crystal is a member of the Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools Program team, supporting implementation of School Wellness Policy and teaching nutrition lessons in Clark County School District elementary schools. As a nutrition educator, she teaches children Pick a Better Snack lessons which focus on choosing foods that provide the greatest benefit to their bodies as well as the importance of physical activity. The HKHS program promotes healthy school environments so students are well-nourished, physically active, and ready to learn. Crystal is also the Extension liaison to the Chef for Kids Foundation.

Produce Pick of the Month

This evidence-based campaign focuses on building fruit and vegetable consumption in children through healthy snacking. Produce Pick of the Month formerly known as Pick a better snackā„¢ is a monthly, in-school nutrition education program for primary grade children in at-risk elementary schools in Clark and Washoe counties in Nevada.
