All 4 Kids Program

Extension's All 4 Kids Program and its annual Healthy Kids Festival use activities, music, dance and food to teach kids and their families in Clark and Lincoln Counties nutrition, physical activity and self-acceptance.

   

Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

Our program participants learn how to read food labels, save money on groceries, plan meals, handle food safely, make healthy food choices and be more active.

   

Healthy Food Systems

The Healthy Food Systems Program works to increase access to and knowledge about healthy foods within the community through direct education and policy, systems, and environmental changes. The program focuses on local food production, food preparation and processing, nutrition, and food security to successfully educate the community on how food systems influence health.

     

Indigenous Food Sovereignty

The Desert Farming Initiative is working to advance food sovereignty in the region, including hosting Indigenous students in paid internships, fostering work with food and medicinal plants of cultural interest, and collaborating on community events.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education - Programming by UNR Extension

Improve the nutritional well-being of people who receive SNAP benefits and other Nevadans with a low income through community based education, programs and needs assessments.
