What we do: 

The Southwest Regional Food Business Center - Nevada provides comprehensive support to help local food businesses thrive. As one of 12 U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)-designated regional centers, we focus on business development, regulatory guidance and supply chain solutions across Nevada, Arizona, California and Utah. 

Nevada's priorities:  

  • Increase business profitability in the local food system
  • Develop local value-added products
  • Increase resiliency and sustainability of local and regional food systems
  • Expand market outlets or penetration of existing markets

Advancing technical assistance through the Southwest Regional Food Business Center

The USDA Southwest Regional Food Business Center accelerates a resilient, diverse and competitive local food system for food and farm businesses across our region of Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Technical assistance is one of three pillars of services, alongside coordination and capacity building, in delivering this mission. 

 

Introducing the new Healthy Food Access Map

The 2025 Healthy Food Access Map is here, making it easier than ever to find affordable groceries, free meal sites and farmers markets all while mapping the fastest Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) bus routes to these essential resources in southern Nevada.
