A one-stop shop for evidence-based research, resources, curricula, activities and materials that focus on obesity prevention for teachers and parents of young children. It is designed to educate parents and teachers as well as provide the tools needed to teach young children how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Early childhood public health approaches to promote nutrition, wellness and physical activity. Individualized site-based action plans, teacher trainings and professional development, family engagement, evidence-based curriculum and interactive activities for children.

Cultivating Healthy Habits: Community-driven child nutrition through the Social Ecological Model
Extension faculty presented results of a pilot study on the I Am A Seed, a Pre-K garden-nutrition education program, through the lens of the Social Ecological Model at the State of Nevada Maternal and Child Health Fall Symposium. Attendees also learned about free resources for childcare sites and families.
