Welcome to the Nevada State 4-H Camp at Lake Tahoe!

Lake Tahoe is a unique and magnificent treasure. Its diverse forest, meadow and beach ecosystems provide an unparalleled opportunity for outdoor environmental education, recreation, inspiration and relaxation.

Our 4-H Camp at Lake Tahoe sits under a canopy of gentle Jeffrey pines. Facilities include rustic sleeping cabins, a 166-person dining hall and covered outdoor eating area, and separate women's and men's restrooms. The Camp's private sandy beachfront and its pier, basketball court, horseshoe pits, lawn areas, ping-pong tables, and 150-person scenic amphitheater with stage, and 150-person campfire area offer leisure activities like volleyball, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and more.

You too can enjoy lakeshore 4-H Camp experiences by renting our spectacular 32-acre facility to host youth and adult camps, conferences, educational programs, retreats, and more. We offer day-use (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.) and overnight rentals year round. Rentals include equipment and supplies, such as kayaks, canoes and life jackets. Well-balanced breakfast, lunch and dinner are meals are available at very reasonable prices.

We're looking for Camp alumni

Did you go to Nevada 4-H Camp at Lake Tahoe? Were you a 4-H'er or did you attend camp during a group outing or with another educational program? Were you a staff member during one of the camping seasons? If so, that makes you an alumnus of 4-H Camp! We'd like to invite you to events at the Camp. Join us and enjoy the gatherings, rekindle your Camp ties and share memories with your family and friends. Camp Information

  • Ten Rustic Cabins are available, five boys' cabins and five girls' cabins. Each includes bunk beds and lodges for 10-16 campers. Available to sleepers in these cabins are separate boys' and girls' bathroom and shower facilities with electrical outlets.
  • The two-story, environmentally friendly Green Cabin has four rooms with bunkbeds in each. This cabin sleeps 14 per room.
  • The Lyon Cabin has two separate sleeping rooms with bunkbeds in each. It sleeps 12 per room. This cabin features indoor showers and restrooms.
  • The Director's Cabin which sleeps five is provided for staff members, medical support, etc. It features extra-long twin beds, an indoor shower, and a restroom.

Camp Rules & Policies

  • To use the beach, the renter must provide at least one certified lifeguard per 25 campers.
  • Campers must provide their own linens or sleeping bags.
  • All beds are sturdy bunks with washable mattresses.
  • All sleeping cabins and restrooms are accessible to people with disabilities.
  • Well-balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at very reasonable prices. Use of the kitchen facility is NOT available. Foodservice purchase is required for each rental reservation.
  • No portable space heaters are allowed in any buildings at 4-H Camp.

Camp Rentals | Overnight Use

Summer Season (June – September)

Camp capacity for the summer season is 215 persons; a 50-person minimum applies to rentals during this time of year.

Off Season (October – May)

Camp capacity in the off-season is 125; a 35-person minimum applies to rentals during this time of year.

Cost | Overnight Use

The following is the fee schedule for lodging only for the 2025 camping season as determined by the Nevada State 4-H Camp Advisory Council in January 2024. Fees are subject to change based on motions decreed by the Council.

Camp Rentals | Day Use (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

Groups may reserve the Camp's dining hall with an outdoor dining pavilion and restrooms, lawn areas, and a beach. To use the beach, groups must provide at least one certified lifeguard per 50 people. The sleeping cabins, outdoor bathroom and shower facilities, and kitchen facilities are NOT available for day-use rentals.

Cost | Day Use

The cost for day-use rental for the 2025 camping season is $18/person/day. This cost was determined by the Nevada State 4-H Camp Advisory Council. It is subject to change based on motions decreed by the Council.

 

 

 

Food Service | Overnight or Day Use

We must provide all meals enjoyed at the Camp, so food service is required for each rental reservation. Well-balanced breakfast, lunch and dinner meals are available at very reasonable prices for 35 - 152 persons. Groups are welcome to bring their own snacks.

NOTE: To ensure our staff are able to provide enough food for your group, you must provide Camp a headcount for meals at least 14 days in advance of your group's arrival at Camp.

Rental Process

We accept rental reservation requests for the next calendar year Sept. 1 - Sept. 30. Priority is given to 4-H, FFA and other youth education groups. First-round scheduling applications are due Sept. 30 to be considered. Scheduling and notification for groups will occur by mid-November. After the first round of scheduling is complete, all other reservations received after Sept. 30 are on a first-come basis.

After scheduling is complete, the contract and deposit invoice will be sent to the group's point of contact. The group must return the signed contract and security deposit by the date specified in the contract to

to secure the reservation. If the signed contract and deposit are not received by the date specified in the contract, the group could lose its reservation dates.

Items groups need to complete/provide:

  • Signed contract
  • Security and cleaning deposits (Make checks payable to Board of Regents. Deposits are applied to the total bill.)
  • Comprehensive general liability insurance for $1,000,000. The Board of Regents must be stated as an additional insured.
  • Copies of lifeguard certificates, if using the beach

Important information:

  • Entry to Camp must not be earlier than 2 p.m.
  • Departure from Camp must not be later than 11 a.m.
  • Foodservice is mandatory
  • The refrigerator and freezer are not available for group use
