Camp Alamo is located in the Lincoln County community of Alamo, about 100 miles north of Las Vegas. This facility is made possible through a collaborative agreement with the University of Nevada, Reno Extension, Clark County, and Lincoln County.
The 4-H Camp in Alamo sits on 72 acres in the middle of the Nevada desert, surrounded by blue lakes and green pastures. The facilities include a 17,000-square-foot building that offers an inviting and cozy lobby, a fully stocked camp store, 15 sleeping cabins, loft area, two large classrooms and a dining hall with access to the outdoor deck that overlooks the camp’s lush pasture including the pond.
The current recreational experiences we offer include a campfire area, rock-climbing wall, small ropes challenge course, the pond for any non-swimming activities, large outdoor games to be played on the field and so much more in the works.
The facility can host youth and adult camps, conferences, educational programs, retreats, family reunions, weddings and more. We offer day-use and overnight rentals year-round. You worry about packing your bag and we’ll provide everything else!
