Summary

Jesus´ former work focused on advocacy and capacity building efforts across historically underserved and underrepresented communities in the Southwest. Jesus has had the opportunity to work with indigenous communities of the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, and Tohono O’odham Nation. Jesus has also conducted environmental contamination research and educational outreach in predominately low-income Spanish speaking communities adjacent to toxic release sites. Now focused on youth education, Jesus will work with the 4-H team to develop communication, civic engagement, and leadership educational opportunities for youth across the Las Vegas Valley.
