Details on the proposal process
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal. The intent of these proposals is to address critical issues facing Clark County through collaboration and engagement among UNR and UNLV faculty and staff. The effort showcases our commitment to partnership and further invests in applied research, education and community engagement that directly affects Clark County communities and residents.
All proposals will be considered and welcomed and reviewed by leadership from both universities. Leading proposals will be funded with up to $2 million from Extension. These Extension grants will bring experts and resources from both universities closer together for the betterment of Clark County.
Timeline
- Submissions close May 31, 5 p.m.
- Awardees notified by June 12.
- Projects can begin as early as July 1.
- Proposals do not need to start on July 1, however this is the earliest potential start date.
- Projects should have a start date between July 1 - December 1, 2023.
Awardee expectations
- Provide reports on the project, including progress and findings.
- Work with both universities to promote the project through appropriate channels, including print, web, social media, television, radio or other promotional means.
