Introduction

Collegiate 4-H has existed since 1916 when the first known club started at Oklahoma State University. Collegiate 4-H began primarily as an Agricultural Club for 4-Hers to continue their 4-H Experience in college; however, today Collegiate 4-H Members come from diverse backgrounds and academic departments. Collegiate 4-H has also changed its major purpose from agriculture to leadership and service to others.

The Collegiate 4-H Program varies from club to club, but each club works around their campus and neighboring communities to increase leadership skills with youth which in turn improves the skills of the Collegiate 4-H Members. Through social, educational and community activities, Collegiate 4-H clubs play a key role in developing their members.
